Case Study Details

This is referred to as a Denture Facelift. Oftent time when a patient gets a denture or has been in a denture for a very long time there face literally begins to shrink. This can be due to several different reasons. The main reason is that there are no longer teeth in place to maintin the bone in the jaw. Without teeth the jaw shrinks and the chin becomes closer to the nose. This make the patient appear drastically older. This patient had new dentures with longer teeth fabricated that elongated her face and supported her lips. She can now function better and looks 20 years younger. Implants can be added in these cases to minimize bone loss after the loss of teeth and support the dentures.
